Hey sorry it has been so long. Time has gotten away from me and now tomorrow is the last day.The last session has been great. I have had to deal with some bullying, but it was taken care of. Last night we had kids from camp come with us to the teen worship service at the church and one of my guys, Sam, really experienced the love of God and i got to pray with him. It was such a blessing. God has been so sovereign this summer. We have had long days and short nights but i have always felt energized and never gotten ill. Praise Him!. Thanks everyone for keeping up with me. i may start a new blog that i will post things on sometimes just to put them in writing. Love you all. Pray for Kara and I. This Saturday we are driving 14 hours to belleville. Pray that we are alert and drive safe, and that we have no car problems.

New York and New Session
Hello everyone,
This last weekend i went to New York City and i loved everything about it. It is such a diverse and fascinating place. I saw Central Park, Time Square, The Rockefeller Center, Broadway, Late show building. CBS building, Brooklyn (The pizza was soo good). I loved getting food from the street vendors, it was delicious. I had a Gyro from them and it was fantastic. Kara, Her aunt and uncle, and I all wore I love New york t shirts and were such tourists, it was fun.
So today started a new session, and i really love my guys after one day. I have 7 returning guys and 3 new. There names are, Jared, Wes, Nicholas, Ryan, Moses, Peter, Sam,Kirk, Tyler TC, and W. Tyler. They are all very different but get along well. I really want to be more intentional with them and share the life of Jesus with them more this session, then i have all Summer. So pray for that, pray that they listen well and receive the Word of God well. I do not have anything to say apart from the Word. Which i so powerful. I will blog again after our overnighter to ocean city....
Funny story: Last week they the program coordinators and head counselors through us an appreciation dinner. The Theme was "The Office" based after the show. So they wanted to make things awkward before dinner started. So they packed us in the conference room, everyone was there except one of the counselors, Eric and his head counselor, Joel. Nathean the Camp Sonshine Top man gave us a talk and said that Eric was getting fired because some stuff came back on his fingerprints. Some people bought it pretty good. I did not know what to think, if it was true then i was angry. He said Eric would be at the dinner and we needed to show him grace and try to have a good dinner. When we sat down at the dinner table they told us it was a joke. it was pretty cool. They also gave out Dundies, which you know what they are if you watch the show, I got the dundie for the "Most unexpected jock" Because i am surprisingly good at sports.
Just wanted to share that with you. I am sad my time here is coming to an end, but hope to finish string.

Session 3 week 1
Where has the Summer gone. We have just finished our third overnighter. Only three weeks of camp left. It has been great so far and i have learned a lot about myself and love for youth. We just got back from Ocean City, NJ. It was a rough first day for me. It was rainy so the beach was not open and the kids became restless and did not all want to do the same thing and got kind of bored. But the second day was great. I bonded with many of the kids much better and it really made me feel better about my group this session and really start to like them.I have nine guys and that is the most i have had so far. Anyways, Continue to pray for God to bring conversations about him up more and that i would be bold in displaying Him to my group. Last Wednesday we had an all worship night and be brought in a band wo were all Koreans. They did excellent and it was a refreshing time. Also remember that Kara and I are still training for our Marathon and it is hard with long days and camp responsibilities so we have not foll0wed our schedule perfectly. Just pray we stay disciplined and can carry this through. I would hate to start the marathon in January but not be able to finish it. Thanks again everybody and i will put up some pictures at the end of this week.

The end of the session was hard for me because i lost some guys i really liked.I just hope i can keep up with them. Monday will be a new group and new adventures. I has the privilege on Thursday of treating my guys to some appetizers at the ESPN zone. It has just been a great session and i am really loving this job. God has blessed me so much. Continue to pray he will change my life and turn me toward him more and more. Pray for my influence on the life of these students. Thanks everyone for being apart of my life and reading my blogs. I am eating crabs straight of the dock this weekend at Kara's aunt and uncle so i gotta go. I will put more pictures up tomorrow.

Session 2 Week 1
So i had a new group last week. They are great. I have three returning, Nick, Lloyd, and Tyler.I have three new, Patrick, Pleiku, and Tyler. Two Tylers in my group. Thursday and Friday we took all the kids to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. It's an amusement park. IT was really fun, walking around and riding rides with my group. You learn a lot being at a theme park with people. The highlight was Thursday night when we rode this ride called Escape from Popmeii. It is like the typical ride where you are all in this boat and you go down a steep hill and get soaked. Well my friend Rabbi told me that it was fun and you actually do not get that wet. So we rode this ride just before leaving the park to go to the Hotel. We went around and the boat flew down the hill, I got Soaked, completely drenched. Thanks Rabbi. To top it all off there was no one in line so we rode it two more times without getting off the boat. The kids kept yelling one more ride, one more ride. It was so much fun thought, do not tell them i said that. My group is so cool and i am sad i only have one more week with them. I found out that one kid's parents have been going through a divorce for a year and his mom just told him she was moving out. It was hard on him. Youth are going through so much. Just keep praying for me and for Jesus' to shine through my life and bring hope and love to my students.

Brad

Hello everyone,
Well session one is over. I had a great time and i have 3 out of 6 returning campers for session 2. I am excited to build relationships further they are so unique and i like hanging out with them. On the bus the other day we kept saying rutti tutti fresh n fruity and no one could say ti without laughing, it was dumb and immature but really funny.
I have been being taught a lot about the Holy Spirit in my first to weeks at camp. I have seen him come over people in very strong ways and i have also just seen that he works in different ways in people. You can see it in how they worship and pray. I had some troubles with how charismatic some people are at the church we work through. I did not understand how they could say hallelujiah so much and amen and thank you jesus. It was honestly just getting on my nerves. But i have been learning that God is here and sometimes people experience him differently but God is unchanging and always faithful. Today i went to Capitol Hill Baptist Church in DC and listened to MArk Devin preach. It was very good and he just taught that God is Just and merciful. He is always good, He loves us but hates sin. He will right every wrong and judge all people.
Its been a great weekend. I spent the 4th in the Nations capital check out pics on Kara's Facebook.

First overnighter and the National
So last Thursday we loaded up the charter buses and headed to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware with all of our students. I had it really easy because i only had to look out for 5 boys. We had a blast. When we got there we played in the beach for about two hours. The waves were very big and just thrahes you around. It was really fun. Except Delaware beached are not pretty like Florida beaches. It is brown rocky sand and dirty water. But we had fun nontheless. The we headed to funland on the boardwalk and road some rides. One was called to gravitron. It was like Tom's Twister at Six Flags if you know about that. It spins really fast and you stick to the walls. One time only for me. I later convinced all of my guys to ride the merry go round and it was rather funny and enjoyable. Then we packed them all in a hotel and put them down. I stayed in a room with four other guys. I slept on the floor which was no big deal, but they kept talking and laughing until i got out of the shower and turn off the bathroom light. I said, "Anyone says a word they are sitting out for half an hour st the water park and everything instantly grew silent." I actually got a good nights sleep. The next day we went to a pretty big water park and it was lots of fun. Then we went to the boardwalk for a little longer until we drove back home. You see Camp Sonshine has this rule that counselors cannot sleep on the bus, so it was a hard trip home for me until we stopped and ate. Once i had food i was good to go. There was a few issues that we had to deal with that were pretty major but i do not see reason to speak of them on my blog. If you want to know message me anything. It was a great first week. Thanks everyone for keeping up with me.
